I'd give Freeman 6 years at $28 million/yr, plus a club option for a 7th year with a $2 million buyout, making it a 6 yr, $170 million contract.

Yeah, he knew he wasn't picking it up for probably years. Could have told him the last week of the season at least. Like I have said, he is Eddie Haskell.

That is correct. It's a regular negotiation and the team he signs with pays a fee to his NPB team that is a percentage of the contract value, I think 10% but not sure off the top of my head.

Has anybody heard us being potentially linked to Suzuki? He'd be a great addition.

If not the 24 year streak will end so the assumption is we will be given Nintendo still has a major stake in the team.
