Imagine a world were Seattle plays Milwaukee in the WS - you'd have Seattle on Seattle crime - both Seattle teams at one time - the Mariners v the Pilots. MAKE IT SO!

wow, finish it at home and then a WS? I really wasn't expecting that. Go to a WS and we aren't going to have Jerry Dipoto to kick around anymore
He deserves lots of praise for his drafting and the offensive acquisitions this season, but doing virtually nothing to bolster the offense at the trade deadlines in '23 and '24 was primarily on him and inexcusable given how good the pitching was.

I know in here we gave him a ration of shit for his only big move being basically bringing back Polonco. Jeez, imagine this post season without Jorge!?

The deadline moves were huge, even if Suarez hasn't really held up his end of the bargain. The batting order became longer, the team really seemed to start believing. I am sure it helps to believe that the organization is going to get behind you, making two big moves like that.

I hope that Jerry doesn't decide to go into next year with a ton of holes in the batting order again because we had to pinch pennies, but he deserves credit for what is happening this year for sure!
Frankly he got Lucky with Polanco. He didn't want him on the team and he cut him. The only reason he brought him back at the last minute is that literally no other free agents wanted to sign with him. My hope is that this playoff run wakes them up and helps both Jerry and more importantly the ownership that they need to push all the chips in and capitalize on the window that you have for the next few years.

There is a real contrast to this year making substantive moves at the trade deadline versus sitting on our hands at the trade deadlines the last two years. I don't want Jerry to completely give away our future, but we do have some expendable chips to use to keep this glorious run going the next few years.....

I would hope that it is not lost on them that the only time they have made the playoffs have been when the substantially added at the deadline. I am sure you could count Randy as an add, but Castillo was a big get the last time we made the playoffs, and obviously the two Diamondbacks this year.

Now it is probably too late to fire him. Another missed opportunity! lol

Haha. Again, my fear is that he decides this is the only way, and comes into the Spring with a flawed roster, believing we can just hang on until the trade deadline and then add rentals that won't cost as much as if we just bring in players in the Winter.

But, that is a worry for another time.

You think they are firing Dombrowski? Wouldn't that have happened already?
