Haniger going up 1-0 in that last AB in the 9th vs. a pitcher that couldn't find the plate if he was starving and there was a 30lb Thanksgiving Turkey sitting on it, and then insisting on hacking away on three balls clearly outside the zone should bring on a game fixing investigation that would make the Black Sox Scandal seem like a mild transgression. He was literally trying to strike out.
Probably the worst AB in a key situation as I have ever seen in my life. F him. Trade his ass.

I agree him and Crawford had one job and that was out ball in play not SO. No way our offense even close enough to be anything certainly not playoff caliberD-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 11:31 amHaniger going up 1-0 in that last AB in the 9th vs. a pitcher that couldn't find the plate if he was starving and there was a 30lb Thanksgiving Turkey sitting on it, and then insisting on hacking away on three balls clearly outside the zone should bring on a game fixing investigation that would make the Black Sox Scandal seem like a mild transgression. After the players revolted and the Astros thumped us, I said the high water mark for this team was 9 games over .500, and by September we would be debating if trying to get back to .500 was even worth it. At least two people said they would exceed the winning percentage they had at that point. Yet, now? They were never any good, certainly not a playoff team. Hilarious.

Rangers snap a 14 game road losing streak, ouch
“Everybody's shaking their heads a little about this one tonight,” manager Scott Servais said.

Read the line not a playoff caliber offense! Why there was no reason to go for it in my mind we are missing many pieces not 1 or 2. Grave doesn’t fix this game but keep beating that dead horse it may get tender enough for you to eatMichael K. wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 1:33 pmAfter the players revolted and the Astros thumped us, I said the high water mark for this team was 9 games over .500, and by September we would be debating if trying to get back to .500 was even worth it. He is wrong. There are plenty of fans of this team and plenty of people around the league not shocked at all by this.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 2:05 pmRangers snap a 14 game road losing streak, ouch

Yep, don't go for it. Trade off the vets we have and hope the next batch of kids are closer to France and Toro than they are...well, everyone else. Great idea.desbcoach wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 2:11 pmRead the line not a playoff caliber offense! Why there was no reason to go for it in my mind we are missing many pieces not 1 or 2. 20 years ago this team had a shot at making a team better at the deadline, and didn't. The very next year, they did the same thing, and missed the playoffs. The Organization was cursed by it. Now? Probably another twenty years of this shit. Cursed because we threw in the towel one game back before the deadline was even over. Didn't improve a team with a playoff shot, yet again.
BUT, nothing to see here. The kids will magically become something they have never been, and next year will be glorious. All because a few years ago the organization said "we are targeting 2022". Why? Because it gave them four years of leniency. They could stink for four years, but it was part of the plan. Sometimes, when you throw all your eggs in one basket? They break.
