The ol' double triple.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 4:19 amRecording the number of singles, doubles, triples, ect in a
baseball game is not silly. That two triples instead of a double and a triple is less noteworthy because it doesn't have a name when in reality it's more valuable as well as more unique is silly

These guys are clowns. Think they are so smart. Just a nonsensical tweet. He is also the guy that said Marte is fat and out of shape.

He must have said something wrong. He must have meant that Arroyo is further ahead this year than Marte was last year, although Marte was awesome at this point last year in Modesto. I don't see what's wrong with this tweet though, other than he doesn't answer the question and mistyped something.

At this point last year, Marte was .324/.423/.576/.999 with 8 HR. Similar production, but slight edge to Marte. The K rate was similar, Marte had a better BB rate. Marte has better projecting physically with his size and speed. I don't think Arroyo will be a top 10 prospect, but he could Easily jump into the top 100.
Ultimately it doesn't matter. Both need to just prove it over time

To his credit he came back and corrected himself. He still said Marte is fat though.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:39 pmHe must have said something wrong. Marte was a year older. If Arroyo hits well as a 19 yo in Everett he should pass Marte.....unless Marte tears up Dickey Stephens next season of course. lolJuliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:43 pmAt this point last year, Marte was .324/.423/.576/.999 with 8 HR. And Marte lost a whole year of development due to covid, so you are comparing apples and oranges they are essentially at the same point in their development.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:57 pmMarte was a year older. Guessing Arroyo didn't play much in 2020 either. If you are referring to the incredible knowledge imparted by the hitting instructors in this org then I have to laugh a bit at that.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 4:16 pmAnd Marte lost a whole year of development due to covid, so you are comparing apples and oranges they are essentially at the same point in their development.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:57 pmMarte was a year older. He probably played about a much as any other 16 year old. Is it possible for you to simply be excited about a prospect without having to put a negative spin on it and drag 2 others down at the same time?D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 4:25 pmGuessing Arroyo didn't play much in 2020 either. I'm not dragging him down, he is dragging himself down and like I said he might tear up Ark and Edwin can't hit in EVE and they are reversed again.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 4:40 pmHe probably played about a much as any other 16 year old. btw Marte had 299 Pro PAs before getting to Modesto and Arroyo only had about 150. I try to be objective instead of just going with rainbow and pixie dust analysis.
