Give it 2 months from the beginning of the season and see where both are at. If Felnin is still hitting, then he can move up in June and have a few months in high A with a chance to move up for a few weeks to AA before the end of the season, then maybe play fall ball.

Good plan.

I don't think it's aggressive enough. I'd like to see him have a minimum of 25 games at AA this year. I'd honestly move him up to AA for start of next week and get him 90 games or whatever's left in their season. It's not going to be over his head. It's probably the perfect level for his ability right now.

I would promote Celesten soon, in the next few weeks. Normally, they do promotions at mid-season, but I wouldn't wait for that. I really think you want him facing the highest level of pitching that you think he can handle.

100 percent. I've seen promotions happen in May when players have .900 ops or better. Montes and Celesten should both move to AA in next week or so

Farmelo played today (that was a quick recovery, not out of the ordinary these days for isolated ACL thigh) and hit a 3 run HR

Agree on Laz but Felnin is NOT going to skip High. Why even say that?

Yep but I am told nobody can hit HRs until they are like 21 yo. 1 HR in 4 PAs. Harry Colt and Cole have 1 in 299 PAs.

Tai Peete isn't going to hit advanced pitching. Has 38 Ks and 4 walks in 89 PAs. Oof.

Saying that some players will develop more power with time isn’t the same as saying you can’t hit HR. Just look at ketel Marte. I’ll trust the hit tool to develop power with time over a hit that has some power but can’t hit, like your example with Peete who has 12 HR but is not a great hitter.

It’s too bad we didn’t take this guy. (Pratt, Brewers#3 prospect, My coworkers nephew)

He was drafted later, but I think he got about 1.3 million (about half what they have Peete. Smith is probably a better prospect than Peete, who we got in the 5th for 1.2.
