Seems the M's are dead set on signing JT or Santana. If so the choice is obvious:

Probably be Santana bc he would be cheaper IMO
Why?

Uh-oh, looks like Santanas problem is he can only hit against LHP now for some reason.

Just a .676 OPS in 431 plate appearances against RHP last season.

Seems like exactly the kind of detail the Mariners would overlook.

Tomorrow is the non tender deadline. I can't believe they kept Speier over JT over a million dollars.

Are all the non-tenders completed?

I kicked all those guys out in my plans.
The deadline is tomorrow night. That's what the article says. So we'll start hearing who the names are probably tomorrow afternoon.

Some interesting names on that list.

If a team would take Luis Castillo + Mitch Haniger, what would you guys need in return?

The $40M in payroll flexibility alone almost seems worth it to me (if they're not significantly raising payroll).

Yikes. .766/.826 career though.

Has anyone else noted that the Rays situation has changed dramatically post hurricane?

Quick recap:
Rays were promised a new stadium for 2028. (Prior city council) the new admin said go get F'd.

The repairs of tropicana were also turned down.

Rays are said to play 2025 at the Yanks ST facility in Tampa.

The Rays could be on the move, and I think they will be in full blown sell mode.
