I wouldn't throw Julio a strike on first pitch ever.

I've noticed Julio's new approach this year is to only take one or two giant swings each at-bat, often on the first pitch. This is definitely why he's striking out less than normal and also hitting more weak grounders.

Outside of his one or two big swings per at bat, he just swings for contact. Unlike the last couple seasons where he was swinging out of his shoes every time he swung

Wow when Julio gets a hold of one it is fun to see. 5 run lead. As it should be. Castillo absolute stud holding them to nothing finally looking like getting a win he has deserved. This pitching is on a hott hott run right now!!!

The thing I didn't figure on Julio when he came up was that he'd be so unpolished as a hitter. The guy hit near .400 in AA...

I swear to God Garver looks down at his feet when swinging a bat.
In his last at bat I caught him with his eyes closed upon contact.
Living on a prayer that dude.

Raleigh should jump out for a pitchout and Taylor should fire one right down the middle. Send this ump a message.

Just imagine this squad with a productive right fielder, a real DH, and at least an average 3rd baseman.

Addition by subtraction:
Solano
Garver
Tavares
Williamson

Why is Taylor still on the roster?
