Not a strong year for the AL, 90-72 gets you a first round bye.

Five days off and then let's just win the whole fucking thing.

Dident even try this series. Ugly final home series. Hoping does not go into next weekend. So Judge climbed to the top with his series over Cal. Sux Cal great year but Judge just continues

Three straight loses to a decent team doesn't portend well for M's against playoff caliber competition.

The Mariners were 47-43 against opponents with a winning record.

Doesn't sound great, but in the AL, only the Blue Jays were better with a record of 49-41.

So Garver picked up a mighty cool sum for 2 years of jack squat?

Were he a Japanese businessman, he’d fall on his sword.
I don't think Japanese businessmen follow the Samurai code or even own swords lol.
I get it, I took license, but as for Garver??

$20 mil for Crap.

He should donate it to his favorite charity!
Would you?

often times individual performance doesn't match cost. There were probably seasons where Garver was underpaid. He has played and he is going to continue to play I bet even in the playoffs, he does contribute. In general seems like the Mariners have a pretty good performance cost relationship, sure beats the Mets

For the record. I am not happy with the last series. Thy just did not look like they wanted to win or even play.

Julio got his 30-30.

Cal lost the MVP. No HRs the last series. If he finished strong?

Geno did not hit his #50, that would have tied the 2nd most ever by a tandem.

Josh: He got 20/30 but that last out where he tried for 3rd on a sac and eliminated Cal's run cost us the game.

It is not good to give the nation an impression that you suck by losing the last 3.

what about both Gilbert and Kirby looking strong, that's what I liked seeing, that's what's important going into the playoffs, the rest is irrelevant. Call didn't need to hit home runs in the last series of the season in order to win a MVP

pointed that out about Kirby, if that isn't encouraging I don't know what to tell you
A couple weeks ago, Kirby learned a new sinker grip that Woo taught him.

Since then, Kirby has had a pair of double-digit strikeout outings.

"George Kirby borrowed Bryan Woo’s sinker grip a few weeks ago," wrote Mariners beat writer Ryan Divish. "Took it into the game against the Angels and struck out 14. Tonight he had 10 in five innings."
They are healthy, rested, the pitching is looking strong, the offense seems deep. I will take it

Yeah, I guess it's in how you look at it. Three games that didn't matter....we are off for almost a week regardless of how we played in those three. They were probably hung over...didn't they party after like three straight wins!? LOL

The starting pitching looked strong, the bullpen didn't look bad, the offense was off but they get a rest. Not sure I read much into this. When Pre-Season games don't matter? We look at individual stuff. Someone said earlier that the Dodgers are a decent team. I guess I forgot, how many straight playoff appearances do they have, recent WS rings, etc.?

You guys really worried about how the team looks when they run out a lineup including Garver, Raley, Rivas, Young and Mastraboni?
