He certainly doesn't intimidate them, its not like facing a Rogers Clemens or Randy Johnson...there, have I jinxed it enough?

I am concerned about the BP, it not so much them performing badly but the Tigers can in fact hit and they have been facing those guys repeatedly now for days, I see them getting dialed in
I suspect that you are going to see Castillo come in and eat up the middle innings. If they have the lead I wouldn't be surprised to Speier and Munoz as the only relievers used.
I was curious peoples opinions of that, do you approach this without any consideration for ALCS? Who your starter would be? Be interesting how Woo is feeling
Game 1 Sunday 10-12. Gilbert on full 4 days rest.
Game 2 Monday 10-13. Miller on full 4 day rest or Castillo if you don't use him today
Game 3 Wednesday 10-15. Kirby on full 4 day rest
Game 4 Thursday 10-16 Castillo on 5 days rest if you use him today or Miller if Castillo throws game 2
Game 5 Friday 10-17 Gilbert on Full 4 Days rest
Game 6 Sunday 10-19 Bryan Woo Hopefully or whichever one of Miller/Castillo pitched game 2.
Game 7 Monday 10-20 Kirby Full rest.

So basically, If you pitch Castillo today that means you probably will have to pitch Miller twice in a 7 game series.

Shannon Drayer was on the radio this morning and she said the M's are being extremely tight lipped about Woo. He was throwing on flat ground yesterday but she said the media hasn't seen him throw off a mound since his they were back in Seattle before the rosters were announced. So either they are being very stealthy and snuck some work in when the media was occupied with other things, or he hasn't thrown a sim game. If he hasn't thrown a sim game that probably means he didn't respond well after the last one and I wouldn't be very optimistic at this point.

yeah, I just found an article that reads it the same way, if he is available it be in some sort of limited capacity.
He has thrown at least one reported bullpen session in this comeback, as well.

It seems unlikely he could be a fully stretched out starting pitcher upon a return, but if he was on the ALCS roster, he'd likely contribute in some capacity.
Its that Monday game but actually Miller pitched pretty well, he was hitting 97-98mph wasn't he. I had meant to bring that up. That seemed encouraging terms of his future. So yeah, essentially it could be dual starters if wilson wants to play it that way

I haven't seen that much silicone since Home Depot’s caulking aisle had a clearance sale.

The Mariners will win this easily. They have Scruball's number and several of the Mariner batters are due to break out. I'll bet anyone here $100 that the Ms win tonight.

There, now they'll have to overcome my jinx as well.

If Woo is available for game one of the LCS? It makes it easier to be all hands on deck. I'd imagine Castillo and Gilbert would be available. Use Spier in the first leverage spot when the lefties come up, then play matchups. I mean, even if Woo isn't available? It's still all hands on deck, unless they just are ready to start playing Golf. The bullpen was dogshit Wednesday. I wouldn't trust many of those guys right about now.

I am working today so I will miss the 1st few innings. I am not doom and gloom but the game is going to rest on outlasting the Al cy likely

Confirmed Lineup
LF Arozarena R
C Raleigh S
CF Rodriguez R
2B Polanco S
3B Suarez R
1B Naylor L
DH Garver R

The bookmakers can't separate these teams. Almost identical odds. Its a coin toss, let's hope our side of the coin comes up. Game 5's are brilliant unless like us, for once, you are involved.

Go Mariners

Make Skubal elevate. He throws that ball up your swinging all day. Do not get into a strike 2 count. Kirby & crew gotta avoid 3 ball counts as well. No walks.
