It's so silly.

How have teams that started the first 17 games of a 162 game season 8-9 done? Is there hope?!

Guess what a 4-9 team has a .309 winning %,

The odds of a team with a .309 winning % only has a .9% chance or 1 in 111 chance of winning four in a row so yeah a team with a 8-9 record has a Far better chance of winning a WS than one with a 4-9 record. Make sense???

Might consider taking a stats 101 class so you dont look SILLY,

Terms of excuses, I notice the Yankees are pointing at the cold in the Bronx. Has it been particularly cold in Seattle? I've brought it up before, there could be a relationship between going from warm weather in Arizona and Florida to cold weather in Seattle and NYC.
Oh yeah, I remember now. Somehow the other team isn't playing in the same weather conditions. What a fucking crock.

What tells you the Mariners are a good team playing poorly?
Read my post. I said they might suck. I was just commenting on how ludicrous the stat was. 4-9 tells you zilch.
It tells me that they played 13 games and fucking lost 9 of them! Bad start.

We can't discuss it? Go somewhere else to talk about the team that started out 4 and 9 then.

The other teams didn't hit particularly well either, remember the string of one run losses? Remember the pitching performances the mariners got, losing 2-1, 1-0 That's why was grumbling about blowing possible wins with chucking the ball around and messing up on the bases

Errors are going to happen, even dumb ones.

We have a good defense. Complaining about their mistakes is like complaining because batters get out 65% of the time. It's just something that's going to happen.

We've lost because our offense hasnt outscored the other team. Wasn't our pitching or defense imo.

It was more than an occasional error. I could go pull up the stats, they were terrible. There's an occasional error and there's playing bad baseball

Shitty hitting
Bad Baseball

Losing one run games 2 to 1 and blaming defense? Again, I disagree. Don't score one run. There was one single time I recall the one run game being a higher scoring affair. Errors happen sometimes, shitty hitting happens all the fucking time here. It has grown really fucking tiresome. Not one player on this damn team is paid to play Defense, and one of the worst defenders was paid to come here and play 3rd, even though he's not a 3rd Baseman. They wanted offense, and they didn't get it, so they started 4 and 9.

They are 8-9 and a game and a half out. I feel they could easily have had two more wins if it wasnt for their sloppy play in the field. So even with their poor ass offense they still could have been in first place. For me, those are the wins they really gave away.
