Trade deadline will be a buzz kill this season

On the other hand... Dipoto commented in the off season they would be prepared to make deadline deals. He budgets for them. I wouldn't put it past him depending on how the team is doing. I think there's as big PR and psychological reasons as there are practical roster ones. If Refsnyder doesn't come around I could see them trying to get more right handed. That's my angle. I don't see the point in adding another left handed bat. But maybe they come up with a right handed one
