Are you happy about this performance? They are shitting all over him. It's 2nd inning and the game is already out of reach

Interesting that the team refuses to fight when things don't go right.

If I were in that dugout I'd be steaming and making sure the team is staying focused.

I don't mind it. Wouldn't say I'm happy. I don't mind it because I'm still pulling for that 1st overall pick 2020. Might as well. This team isn't built to do shit in the playoffs this yr. I've also decided that I'm going to appreciate Felix for all that he's done, all that he's been for this org even if his work ethic the last five or so yrs hasn't been up to par. That's not something to ever relent on, but he's still been a loyal M and a franchise great. Him struggling this yr like he has the last 3, only means he'll be finished sooner rather than later. Oh well.

I believe it comes from the deflated look on Servais. If your manager is scared to fight, argue, or defend players then the team sees that and loses motivation

Agreed.

Servais looks like a scared, wet dog when things aren't going right.

If this game continues as it's going it's going to be another lopsided defeat and that's the biggest thing I see about this team that's disturbing, the fact that when they get behind they just quit. They don't even put up courtesy runs off the scrubby mop-up man late in games like this. They just quit, and while the manager really doesn't have the impact on games that people think he does, that is a reflection of him. He doesn't fight for them, he doesn't give them the stern talking-tos that Lou Piniella did, and you see it in games like this.

The scared let down look on his face in these situations is so alarming to me. Servais is literally scared to show any fight or get mad. He's 200 pounds of straight pussy

Yup. Agreed. His attitude on the bench has always bugged me.
