Re: Lockout end date contest
I feel like I'm a lock.

Re: Lockout end date contest
The pessimism from AT is nuts. Looks like it's going to be a 3/1-3/3 end. Players really want to eat that cake and have it as well. All I am seeing is Win after Win after Win on every issue. Sign the deal. Come back in 27 and get some more.

I'm older than you Dion, doesn't make me smarter, but I remember General Motors being the top auto maker in the world.
1979 - GM's U.S. employment peaks at 618,365, making it the largest private employer in the country. Worldwide employment is 853,000. The Unions killed the auto industry competitive edge, opened the door for Japanese and Korean manufacturers.... GM survived, but it's not better. Baseball will survive but it won't be better..... letting the inmates run the asylum is not a win in my opinion.

He is saying the players are getting a lot of wins so they should be content and settle.AT Funchal-Madeira wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 2:54 pm![]()

Well, they're spending the entire day on it today..... another self imposed deadline. When it's over it'll be over, but I continue to be pessemistic about these greedy bastards!! I'm not sure what you define as a win.... I guess you are in favor of the players and agents running the game... whatever.
