How come no Dave Camerons have emerged in football analysis? My guess is that football is just too damned complex to break down with stats, no matter how refined the measurements or how many variables in the equations. This is the realm of supercomputers, I would think.

I think it would be hard to micro-stat football. Everything would be a small sample size, and as few stat nerds as there are that almost actually understand baseball, I think even fewer understand football.

Football and soccer high school season happen at the same time of year, so even the dorks that do decide to do something aren't playing football are they...
