The whole "We can trade relievers because they are easily replaceable with dumpster dives" schtick is going to work until it doesn't and then when we start blowing a game or two a week because the combined investment in the pen is barely over $5M Jerry is going to look like an even bigger idiot than he does now.
Didn't that happen down the stretch?
Bullpen: 2.79 ERA in July, 2.57 in August and 3.78 in Sept.

How ridiculous do the "Come to Seattle" chants to Ohtani at the AS game seem now.

The Mariners bought low on Luis Urias who in 2021 and 2022 posted 3.3 and 3.1 bWAR (2.1 and 2.3 fWAR) in his age 24 and 25 seasons.

Urias, with two more years of team control, and Josh Rojas, with three years of team control, are projected to earn a combined $8.2 million in 2024. If no more moves are coming, it's not a cheap gamble.

I wonder if it means they are trading Geno which would give us an INF of

2023 OPS+
France 99
Rojas 78
JP 131
Urias 76

Rangers
Lowe 111
Semien 122
Seager 170
Jung 109

More stupid off season subtractions instead of additions. He will be gone before August.

Yep at this point we are down Teo Ford and Campbell and added a sixth guy that can play second base. Great start.

These guys are like addicted gamblers that keep thinking the next longshot bet will be the one that pays off every debt and sets them up for life. Then they continue to lose everything they have over and over again.
It's a complete failure to understand that their thinking and approach is the problem. They are unable to adjust to reality.
