The Mariners are done this season. They look flat and very uninterested in what's going on.

As Cal said a couple months ago, no energy.
If you complain about “low energy,” how bout you hit more than .200, with say, 190 projected K’s?
And that's 190 projected K's per game, no doubt!!!

The current INF is Turner who will probably retire, Polanco who sucks and will only get worse, JP who can't hit and is probably one of 7 skinny athletic black guys in their 20s that is Sloth slow on planet earth and Rojas who has been a AAA player since Cinco de Mayo.

DH is the Mitches who are more Designated Shitters than Designated Hitters.

The OF should be ok with Randy IF he comes back to pre 2024 for, Robles if he wasn't a one hit wonder this season, Julio IF he rebounds and Raley IF they let him play almost every day.

This is the state of the offense in year SEVEN of the Rebuild and Year TEN of the Jerry Dipoto Reign of terror and he will still have a job. That is all you need to know about this shit show org that will have a 6 pack of suck in the OF and four big IFs in the OF.

For next year, whomever is running this club which I kind of hope they tank the month of Sept so that increases the chances of Dipoto getting fired, but for next year it needs to balance out a bit between offense/pitching - we'll need to trade Castillo almost for peanuts so that team acquiring him eats all of his salary - and then dump that 24 mill into one legit hitter. Don't do the Mariner way of spreading that into 3-4 guys that suck, just get 1 legit guy. Let Hancock or whomever come up to be the 5th guy. Yeah we'll take a bit of a hit in the rotation but Castillo hasn't had a stellar year and if his performance continues to diminish a little here/there he might start giving up 4-5 runs next year instead of his 3 this year usually per game.

I’ll never be able to fathom how they finish 2001 tied for the greatest record in baseball history, and can’t make the playoffs again for 21 years!!!

And they did out Without Jr, Jay, Randy, and Tino!
... not to mention Alex.

Yeah, Cal can complain all he wants. The fact that his bat hits middle of the order here might not be his fault, but he might want to string together a few more hits and a lot fewer Ks before he complains anymore. Reminds me of Sherman crying over the INT on the goal line. Yep, it sucks, but so does watching the LOB get directed two drives in a row to blow a two score lead. But? Let's finger point instead

Yeah, but hurt a lot of it. Junior, Randy and A Rod were the most recent stars that had left.

Right!

I was confused with 1995, when he came up at the end of the season.

He barely played, his last full productive season was in 1997.
