MLB Playoffs thread
Re: MLB Playoffs thread
Lynda has lived here for 38 days and decided last week she was a Dodger fan. She has watched more baseball the the past few days than she had in 19 years that I have known her. She is celebrating and whooping it up right now. lol Her team has won more WS than mine has been to in 48 seasons. lol

I was a Dodger fan back in the Steve Garvey, Dusty Baker and Ron Cey days. It was pretty hard to be a Mariner fan in Eastern Washington. The games were never on, and we didn't go to that many games. So I have always kind of rooted. Last night was fun....but I am far from invested. Hell, the Mariners have broken my love for baseball anyway, but it sure would be nice if we could watch October baseball that mattered here locally.

I am a bandwagon jumper only in the sense that it was so wonderful to see the Yankees implode in the 5th, and the gnashing of teeth, and rending garments that ensued. It was hard not to cheer for the team that inflicted that much misery.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 4:02 amLynda has lived here for 38 days and decided last week she was a Dodger fan. Then again, I was also hoping that there would be a midair collision as both teams headed back to LA on separate jets.

Funny I never like the Yankees but probably liked the Dodgers even less. I was a huge Red Sox fan especially in the Dave Henderson years. He would have won the WS MVP if not for the 1986 implosion.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 2:52 pmI was a Dodger fan back in the Steve Garvey, Dusty Baker and Ron Cey days. I named my newly adopted kitten Reggie Jackson during the sixth game of the 1977 WS, just to show where my sentiments lay between those two teams. He went on to live up to it, he was a legend in the neighborhood
