Re: Looks like Turner and both Mitches with be on the OD roster
This franchise just DOESN'T LEARN. They keep.getting guys one year too late and now they're going to compound it by bringing back the same guys when they'll be one year older.
Haniger is in no way, shape or form a bounce-back candidate. He's done. Garver at best can only be slightly better than he was last year. And oh by the way, Turner turns 40 a year after his career went on life support.

The problems with the 2025 Mariners are already pretty obvious.
Their only shot is to change their tune and get some real players in their 2-3 vacancies.
But we know they won't.

I refuse to believe they're actually planning on rolling both players out there.
There's no way they're not looking to attach a prospect to one of them to clear salary.

I think dipoto views both of them as viable players. They will roll both of them out again, give it another shot.

Can't believe that instead of signing a good bat at 1B and having Raley be your 4th OF/backup 1B, they're going to put Raley at 1B and make Haniger the backup OF...
That's quite a delta between Haniger and adding a 1B bat to the lineup.

Bohm would be a bad pickup. Not only did he hit a robust 75 tOPS+ after the All star break, he had several instances of pulling the same behaviors as JK did. You will be giving up a ton for a player that got hot for one half of a season. There are reasons why Philly is looking to trade him rather than keep him for 2 more years before free agency....and those aren't good reasons.

Yep. He's a scrub. But everyone here loves him for some reason.Bil522 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:00 amBohm would be a bad pickup. I think you are a bit off. Nobody here is saying Soto = Bohm. What some of us are looking at is what is a better fit @ 3B?GL_Storm wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:14 pmYep. He's a scrub. Josh Rojas 31 RBI, 91 OPS+
vs
Alec Bohm 97 RBI 117 OPS+
And this claim about 75 OPS+ in the 2nd 1/2? (Bohm's last 3 years 101, 107, and 117 OPS+
vs
Rojas in his last 88 games had a .550 OPS
Bohm>Rojas

How does a 6'5" major league hitter not hit for power? Spotrac projects his salary at $8.1 million. Is he worth that? Philly clearly doesn't want to pay him.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 2:26 amI think you are a bit off. Nobody here is saying Soto = Bohm.
