Annnnnd right on cue doomsday Fauci and Birx now tell us we shouldnt even go to the pharmacy or grocery store for the next two weeks.

These two just cant enough of themselves
It's fun to watch all the Liberals [who used to ridicule the Conservative Preppers] running around like chickens with their heads cut off looking for basic necessities and [of course] complaining that Trump wasn't better prepared.

BTW does your teacher's union 401 retirement plan include a "cash reserve, treasury note, money market, aka very very low risk / reward" type option to just park your nest egg for safe keeping ..or do they force you to pick a fund that keeps you in stocks and bonds...?

well this is getting pretty OT, though who am i to question it
Well he died of the Virus.....
The only way I find it possible to cope with Donn's posts is to try and imagine its Hank from King of the Hill talking and then it's like, "oh, ok".

Things make sense a little more that way.

Helps you to just shake your head and move on.

Paul Hornung made 12 of 38 in 1966 for 31.6%

Imagine if a kicker did that today. Social media would lose its marbles....

Unbelievable that Vince Lombardi just kept running him out there after 25 missed FGs in a season.

I can't believe he was only 23 when he did it. For some reason I thought he was near the end of his career. He was only 73 yo. 50th anniversary will be this fall. His career % is only 61%. Not surprising the toe hackers went out of business..

Josh Lambo led the NFL last season making 33 of 34 for 97%. The worst kicker was Bret Maher who only made 20 of 30 for 67%.
I would have guessed he was in his 30s with a beer gut like that....
He was a straight on kicker so there were way more chances of a "slice" or an unintentional "hook". Soccer style kickers have an intentional, predictable amount of hook and very low chance of a slice..but having just half a foot would STILL improve a soccer style guy's "club head speed".

Dempsey's kick is such a "line drive" it looks like the hand of God helped it stay in the air the last few yards. What wasn't to love about that whole story..?
I remember people speculating that Dempsey's success would usher in a new era of kickers who had the front half of their kicking foots amputated. I always wanted to be a FG Kicker but not sure how much having my foot modified like that would have added to my range...?

Maher got the honor because Blair Walsh was out of the league?

It was 1964. Packers lost 24-21 to the Colts and he went 0 for 5. Don't you go for it on 4th down instead of trying a fifth FG after four misses????

They lost to the 49ers by 10 and he went 0-4.

They tied with the Rams and he went 1 for 4.

So instead of 8-5-1 they should have been 11-3 that season...
