Re: Virus Schmirus
*Fingers crossed that the daily increase in new cases has peaked. I looked at the data a bit differently, calculating the average number of daily positive tests in the US over the prior 5 days (source: CDC website), attempting to smooth for any day to day randomness. Data are from March 16 to April 4.
716 (first day of my data, March 16)
1,220
1,845
2,718
3,052
4,071
5,273
6,748
7,847
9,939
12,155
13,983
15,694
17,290
19,020
20,149
21,965
23,325
27,260
28,257 (April 4)
Wondering if the April 3 number from CDC (37,926 new positive tests) is a peak or an outlier.

Good way to look at it. Yeah praying the Friday numbers aren't a false summit. Tomorrow will be interesting. If less than today's we will definitely have a downward trend in new cases......gil wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 12:48 am*Fingers crossed that the daily increase in new cases has peaked. Hospitalizations down nearly 75% in New York. That curve is getting demolished.
Although if you listen to our doomsday people/ and or facebook this week is going to be Pearl Harbor, WW1, WW2, Civil War, Vietnam and Korea all rolled into 1
