I don't know what's worse. The M's or the National reporters.

In 2007 that OPS was good for 111th in MLB among qualified bats out of 162.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:04 am314 /381 /.394/ .775. in 2007, heck even being a light hitter I think I'd settle for that these days
The 111th ranked OPS in 2024 was Andrew Benintendi.
Ty France was 115th.
It's all relative.

Just acquire Carlos Correa... put him at 3B.
There's your off season
God this organization is so boring.

This is what kills me about national writers. How they will generate content in a vacuum. Gee, the mariners need offense and a first baseman. So naturally they'd be interested in Pete Alonso. Even to pay a premium for him
“The Mariners are so desperate for offense, especially from the infield corners, that the front office could ignore Alonso’s lack of on-base skills and pay a premium for his power,” mentioned McCullough. And given that Seattle missed the playoffs despite the pitching staff being so strong, it means they can take a swing at Alonso. They may offer him a five-year $150 million deal

Ya, the M's are going to trade a top prospect MI that is on the cusp of the majors for a reliever making $8.4M with one year of control left.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 12:48 amSeems unlikely

It make more sense for the mariners to be trading a BP arm for a second baseman.
