he has really found his stroke the last few weeks. he wasn't having a problem making contact...it's just that every time he did, someone was there to get him out. unless they really need him, i'd leave him in AAA for a while longer. and IMHO, he'll mainly be at 2nd in the show. i just don't think he quite has the range or arm for short in the bigs.D-train wrote: ↑Mon May 19, 2025 8:44 pmHe has over 1400 minor league PAs and about 200 in AAA. I would do it.MarinerFan4Life wrote: ↑Mon May 19, 2025 8:32 pmDo you think it's too early to call up Young? He can't do much worse then what we've been using and a cup of coffee in the show might be good for him.

Re: 2025 Prospects Thread
went to the Rainers game last nite in El Paso. really nice stadium.
great comeback for the Rainers. i don't know how far the home run Dominic Canzone hit in the 8th but gawd dawg....it looked like it went into outer space. looked like it cleared everything.
didn't go today because it was a "kids day", but going tomorrow nite and maybe friday.

For the second evening in a row, Everett's Lazaro Montes has homered over the tall batter's eye at the Hillsboro Ballpark:

On the second video, note the remarkable tag near home plate on a throw from Montes in right field.

Re: 2025 Prospects Thread
Thanks for posting those Doug. Is it fairly rare that somebody hits a ball over the batter's eye in that park?

can't wait to see him in Little Rock. i've never seen anyone hit one to dead center at Dickey-Stephens Park in LR, but i know Julio did years ago.

The announcer says Julio is the first, that makes it pretty rare
