If we go thru ANOTHER rebuild I’m gonna lose my shit. And if we do we need new leadership from the top down since it was his total vision that got us to this point. Absolutely ridiculous.
There was a tweet posted about a rebuild, but it was from 2018.

They're not looking to rebuild, they're just shuffling around the core a little bit.

If they can get more for France than he would be worth as a utility player, sure, make the move. But it's doubtful they're looking to unload him without getting a solid return imo.

It's also likely that they're hesitant to pay him $6M+ next year.

Hate losing Sewald sux dominate closer Munoz its now his time hopefully he is ready. Been struggling this season. Hoping the return package works out.

Hard to take a 5'6" player very seriously in T-Mobile. He'll look like an ant.

Guess we'll see how that works out.

Good stuff.

This from the MLB profile:
Canzone never batted below .323 in any of his three seasons at Ohio State, and he went out with a bang as a junior in 2019 with a program-record 59-game on-base streak. Scouts were still not sold his swing would hold up in the pros, and the D-backs snagged him in the eighth round. The left-handed slugger was a productive High-A and Double-A hitter in his first full season in 2021 and got some time in the Arizona Fall League to boot. He spent the majority of his age-24 campaign with Triple-A Reno, slashing .284/.349/.489 with 16 homers in 88 games, but went unprotected and unpicked in last year’s Rule 5 Draft when eligible.

Canzone lifts his leg kick and almost pauses his load before planting as the pitch is delivered, and while he ranked in the bottom third in the Pacific Coast League for swinging-strike rate, he still strikes out less than many in the modern game because he knows how to control the barrel. He has wiry strength at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, and his 112.6 mph max exit velocity would have put him right alongside Christian Walker’s best mark for the big league club.

The former Buckeye shows a penchant for nabbing the occasional bag with back-to-back seasons with 15-plus steals, but his below-average speed limits his defensive value. He’s ticketed for an outfield corner spot and has mixed in more first base into his glove work as Arizona tries to find a spot for his bat in the lineup. The expanded DH could work in his favor considering the D-backs’ outfield stands to get even more crowded in his age-25 season of 2023 and beyond.

Bliss looks like a middle infielder backup. We'll see.

Hard to believe that Canzone can hit for a career .933 OPS in the minors and never sniff a top prospects list. M's I think are wanting to hope that he's their Mitch Haniger who didn't get his start until age 25/26.

Bliss carries a lot of pop in his bat for 5'6... profile is extremely Altuveish. Altuve only hit for an .854 OPS during the minors and turned into a monster during his AA year like Bliss has. He never really played AAA ball before his jump to the majors.

M's have to believe the bats really play and have been overlooked... much like France and Haniger were.

He was a low draft pick, isn’t fast, and doesn’t have a strong arm. He’s not a scout freak, but he can rake. 13 % K rate in AAA this year.
