Wow. Angels lose a pick for TA???? LOL
Apparently signing a 5 starter w. a career ERA over 4.00 is a sign that the Angels are really going for it and it could inspire superstar pitchers to join in on the effort:

JFC.
MASSIVE!!! Yeah massive level of stupidity. Moreno prob just lowered the sales price of the Franchise by $39M. lol
Just be glad they're investing all of that money into 3 guys and mostly hitting. Moreno is an idiot. He's like the Latino version of Jerry Jones for baseball.

Blue Jays just DFA'd Raimel Tapia, lefty bat, lefty throw. Not an awesome player, but probably good enough to make someone's roster next year and better than what a lot of teams are carrying as a 4th outfielder. Defense was down this year according to Fangraphs, but that might be an outlier. I expect he'll sign somewhere quick.

0.3 WAR in 128 games. Basically Frazier of the OF.

That was my point. The bar for 4th outfielder in MLB is pretty low. You're basically hoping to get a replacement level player that has some useful skills that can help you win here and there. Maybe think of it as "replacement plus" or something. That's sort of where I see Tapia. He's not good really, but he's probably useful enough in a bench role to get another year of ML service time in 2023.

Marlins DFA Jeff Brigham. He seems worth a flyer, maybe not to the M's. If he makes it through waivers he can declare himself a free agent.

Going from horrible to just really bad isn't a good strategy to win a WS.

We have Sam, Moore, TT, JK and Marlowe as 4th+ OF options. We certainly don't need another of Tapia's ilk.

Bowden says that Harry Ford, Emerson Hancock, and Gabriel Gonzalez are not going anywhere via trade this offseason.

Gotta build up that next wave Jerry.
