Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
Padres had the bases loaded nobody out in the top of the 10th inning last night with Bogaerts up and didn't score a run. Rockies walked them off with a bases loaded sac fly themselves. They just cannot get over the hump.
How I wouldn't mind a package for Soto centered around Woo and France and few prospects.

They can have Trammell back too.....Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:17 pmPadres had the bases loaded nobody out in the top of the 10th inning last night with Bogaerts up and didn't score a run. I honestly want to see them trade Woo so we can get Hancock up here.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:18 pmThey can have Trammell back too.....Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:17 pmPadres had the bases loaded nobody out in the top of the 10th inning last night with Bogaerts up and didn't score a run. I don't think there'd be fall off and Hancock would head into '24 seemingly without an innings limit as he's gonna hit 150 or so innings this season.
Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
They need to end the self inflicted nonsense of limited innings in the minors and than crying to the media about how they have to monitor the innings of every single young starter like they had zero control over the situation.

I just don't see the point of carrying Woo if they're going to shut him down.
He seems like he's built enough value to be the guy they can trade for an offensive haul given the excess of pitchers.

Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
It depends on what we could get back. He wouldn't fetch nearly as much due to the fact he's almost reached his innings limit. So not much use to a contender. I feel like we'd be selling low.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:24 pmI honestly want to see them trade Woo so we can get Hancock up here.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:18 pmThey can have Trammell back too.....Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:17 pmPadres had the bases loaded nobody out in the top of the 10th inning last night with Bogaerts up and didn't score a run. Sure trade him to a team that aren't idiots thinking his arm is going to fall off if he makes another 8-10 5-6 innings starts.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:28 pmI just don't see the point of carrying Woo if they're going to shut him down.

And what team is that? What team is going to trade value for Woo and then proceed to run his arm into the ground?

That's why I'd offer him to the Padres who need future pitching and could shelve him at a certain point for '24.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:29 pmIt depends on what we could get back. Padres are seemingly going to lose Wacha and Snell. Darvish has regressed and is now 36 years old. Weathers, their 5th starter has a 6.25 ERA and has been terrible for them his first 3 years in the league.
They need young pitching in the worst of ways and can afford to wait for Woo. They have one pitcher in their top 10 who is above A ball... and he's a 25 year old that throws 92 mph...

Oh and btw... Teo is now on pace for 219 K's this year. The MLB record is 223.
Get rid of him.
