Looks like Mike Ford is going to win this for the home team!

To ask a question about the JK injury. Where is TT in all of this? Is he still with the club? Is he injured (again)? I likely missed something.

And why do I get the feeling that 2 runs are not enough?
That's exactly what I was wondering, doesn't look like he's played since May 31st for some reason
I can't find anything on him so it must be an extended stay on the IL.

Tacoma outfielder Cade Marlowe was hitless yesterday in Sacramento, going 0-for-5 in the Rainiers 6-4 victory. That ended his 17-game hitting streak, which was the longest by a Rainiers player this year.

Then this morning he was promoted to Seattle.

The promotion didn’t come under the best circumstances. Marlowe is replacing injured Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic, who broke his foot kicking a water cooler after striking out – something Marlowe (and everyone else) should try to avoid.

Maybe Marlowe can help the Mariners struggling offense. He went 25-for-68 (.368) during the hitting streak, and he roped seven homers during it. The streak ended a two-month stretch in which he struggled to a sub-.200 average. Rainiers hitting coach Brad Marcelino said that Marlowe worked hard with him during that stretch in order to improve, and things started to click over the last few weeks.

The Rainiers, meanwhile, won their second in a row last night, and once again reached the .500 mark for the season at 46-46. It was comforting to have Matt Festa back in the bullpen to close out the game, protecting a two-run lead on the road in the ninth inning.
RAINIERS DAILY - July 20, 2023
YESTERDAY: The Rainiers made it two straight wins with a 6-4 victory at Sacramento. Mark Mathias was 4-for-5, with a double and two runs scored. Pedro Severino hit a two-run homer and a two-run double, snapping out of a long slump. Didi Gregorius had his best game as a Rainier, going 2-for-5 with a double and his first Tacoma home run. Nolan Blackwood pitched two perfect innings of relief to get the win, and Matt Festa secured his PCL-leading 14th save.

TODAY: Tacoma Rainiers (46-46, 9-8) at Sacramento River Cats (40-51, 6-11), 6:45.

OPPONENT AFFILIATION: San Francisco Giants.

OPPOSING MANAGER: Dave Brundage.

SEASON SERIES: Tacoma leads, 5-3.

PITCHERS: LHP Kyle Hart (2-2, 4.89) at RHP Sean Hjelle (1-4, 5.66)

ROSTER MOVES: Outfielder Cade Marlowe was promoted to Seattle today.

HOT HITTERS: Cade Marlowe went 25-for-68 with seven home runs during a 17-game hitting streak that ended last night… Jake Scheiner leads the PCL with 24 home runs, and he has hit 14 of them at Cheney Stadium… Scheiner is now the league leader with 82 RBI… Mark Mathias has a seven-game hitting streak… Adam Engel has reached base safely in 11 straight games… Taylor Trammell has reached base in nine straight games, and has eight RBI during that span.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

OK, thanks for answering the question I had about TT. I'd still rather have him up here than Marlow simply because he's been here before and plays good defense.

Jerry Dipoto-I do believe we are a legitimate contender to win the WS
Jerry Dipoto joins Brock and Salk to discuss Opening Day, his strong belief that this team is a World Series contender, the special connection that Mariners fans have with their superstars like Julio, how solid the starting rotation is and their excitement about international prospect Felnin Celesten.

That's bizarre. He has been hitting ok down there but nothing demanding a promo.
