What do you guys think about parity?
In football it really is any given Sunday.
In baseball it seems like there are 4 to 5 great teams built to win it all.
Then the rest are just dreamers.
Got to be a way to make the game more competitive, no?

Good Lord Swearsuck just gave up another bomb.
There is no I in Party.

HA!
Thanks spelling police.
If the game can be played fairly why do such a long season then?
Maybe they could play half of those games! or at least shave a month or two off...
I like the idea presented about following the NBA model.

On paper in tha AL, the starting staffs and lineups of Boston and Houston have been light years ahead of the rest of the league. We basically have 162 games to see who can stay healthy. And there are maybe 3 teams who might put everything together and compete. Yanks are always in the mix. No parity now - historically speaking either.

NL seems more compelling this season. I could nake a case for Atlanta, SD, Philly, Nats, Mets, Cubs, Cards, Brewers, Dodgers and Reds. I have no clue what's going on over there.

If I'm Manny Acta, I'm getting tossed tonight.

Glad to see Bishop following in the footsteps of every, recent Mariner rookie.

Why do these kids always come up and just totally shit the bed? Can't have a fucking prospect come up and do anything cool ever? Fuck man.

There should also be a "mercy" rule too.
When you're down 10-0 and have nothing else to play for.
They should have the option to call "UNCLE" and forfeit the rest of the game.
Who would object at that point?

It must be weird for Wright to watch Swarzak get up there posting a 10 ERA and fucking the M's while he is only allowed to pitch when the team is losing 100-0. Must inspire confidence.

If Devers held the ball on my back 10 seconds after I got a triple, I'd turn around and hit him.
