began to focus on him and his total increased. I was going to say, I don't believe Darren would agree with Ichiro being unanimous, or maybe even first ballot. If he was unanimous it speak to how really popular he is around the league. Of course that go without saying. Riviera did it by being popular, junior came close by being extremely popular. It take hof baseball skills and a personality that people are attracted to.

Ichiro should be in the HOF but it isn't some big issue if it isn't unanimous or even 1st ballot. There have been bigger snubs and the world continues to exist...

One unanimous HOF vote has happened in the history of Cooperstown. It's either a statistical fluke, or there was something magical about Mariano. If it's the latter, I'm curious about the recipe. That's all.

Exactly and the guys that don't vote Ichiro on the 1st ballot will have their reasons and shouldn't be told that they need to vote for him 1st ballot because he "Should" be unanimous.

He is definitely an icon and a good and fascinating person with ZERO baggage and it is the Hall of FAME not the Hall of Stats so should be Zero doubt he belongs.
