Jesus, I am selling it so I don't have to ship it across the country and continue to pay egregious sums for simple things.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 2:57 amUnderstand they charge $1,200 for an oil change for the V-12

My Silverado takes 4 gallons of rottella at $20 gallon and then I can haul all three of your foolish cars to the wrecking yard and save all three of you thousands over the next several yearsSexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 4:06 amThat's the exact same for my Alfa Romeo.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 2:57 amUnderstand they charge $1,200 for an oil change for the V-12

Wow. I needed a second key to my 2023 Lexus and it cost me $200...and I got the programming of the key for free (would have been another $150).
I realize this is absolutely ZERO compared to the Aston, but holy shit.

Tesla's don't need oil changes, or so I hear. I suspect they still need keys.

Those batteries get expensive
Re: Rockies vs M's Game 1
I have a Model 3 I got 3 years ago. Here in CA we got big tax incentives when you buy it. Also, I have a dedicated charger at work, so I charge for free. I haven’t paid for gas or charging in 3 years. Plus, my wife and I work at the same place and we drive in together, and we each get $100 in commuting incentives quarterly. Together, this pays for a new set of tires every year or so.
And you’re right - no oil changes. After 3 years I am about due up for a cabin air filter, but otherwise zero maintenance.
I get mocked for driving a Tesla all the time, but it’s the cheapest mode of transportation apart from a bicycle. Besides, in California it’s almost standard issue - when you turn 50 it’s practically compulsory to buy one.

EVs are great, other than that they aren't really environmentally friendly and every time one is sold it enriches China along with some executives and politicians here in the states.
