Another off-speed pitch on 3-2 over the heart of the plate and now Zavala whiffs. I just don't get it, these guys are major league hitters, right? I mean, at the very least they should be able to put pitches like that in play, right?

It's really starting to feel like he's going to have his worst season in the bigs right after having his best season. Which isn't unprecedented, we just saw Jesse Winker do it two seasons ago.

It just makes no sense to me to have a leadoff hitter who blocks speed behind him if they both get on base.

There is little worse than an umpire calling a strike on a 3-0 pitch that's clearly out of the strike zone.
