Most of our courses are open in Idaho and they are packed.......a lot of plates from Washington. Dozens of motorcycle riders and lots of Washington visitors in town......Thanks Inslee.........Double Mocha Man wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:12 amIt's almost like going to a speakeasy. There's a course near me (a good one) that's secretly open... all on the hush hush. You just show up and play, for free. I told Olivia of the pro shop on the phone that I wanted to pay something but she wouldn't let me. So I'll go back at some point and buy some gear, and thank them. So I played there yesterday after 3 weeks and 4 days of no golf. Sunny, almost 70 degrees, perfect!
Dude's on such a power trip right now. Just say May 4th isn't long enough. Its April 11th. How in the F does he know.Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 2:32 pmMost of our courses are open in Idaho and they are packed.......a lot of plates from Washington. Meanwhile, the 5 day average for new cases has increased slightly the past 2 days, gil wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 5:53 pmFour weeks ago today (March 12), Spring Training was suspended. At the time, the CDC had reported (though March 11) a total of 1,215 cases. We now have 427,460.
The hopeful development I see is that the 5 day average for new cases has been slightly lower the last two days for the first time,
April 6: 32,237
April 7: 31,146
April 8: 30,051

The formula is very simple. The more deaths the more justification for dem governors to keep the economy shut down. The longer the economy is shut down the better chance they have to defeat Trump which is their primary focus. If anyone pushes back they can just accuse them of caring more about money than lives while ignoring the fact that normal working people need money to live.ddraig wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 1:53 amThe latest I read this morning (God, don't make me go look it up) is that 90% of the deaths attributed to the Covid-19 are from other causes. Corona Virus contributed to the deaths but people with diabetes, heart disease, lung problems, etc., were already vulnerable. Think those men and women in Nursing Homes with previous conditions.
I am hoping the government (Jay Inslee, I'm looking at you) doesn't think 0 deaths is a litmus test. If they don't start opening up the restrictions, we're in trouble. If I have had a minor case (sore throat, cough, runny nose - could have been allergies), I want to get back out there! There are economies of scale we have to look at.
