I can't imagine another projection that would discredit Steamer more than projecting a guy that had a .607 OPS and was the 2nd worst 2B in Baseball projecting to 2.4 WARharmony wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 3:45 pmFWIW Steamer600, which assumes 600 plate appearances for each position player, projects Cole Young with a 2026 WAR of 2.4 and Ben Williamson with a 2026 WAR of 1.9:Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 7:24 amJerry better be cooking some big shit man.
I swear to God if I'm watching Cole Young and Ben Williamson play meaningful baseball to start off '26 I might not be watching for long.

The Mariners reportedly sign 26-year-old outfielder Brennen Davis, a former Top 100 prospect, to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training:

Yeah I saw that. Dude has some serious pop. Former top prospect. Nice risk free move if he can cut down on the whiff rate.harmony wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 9:11 pmThe Mariners reportedly sign 26-year-old outfielder Brennen Davis, a former Top 100 prospect, to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training:

Would anyone trade two Top 100 prospects in Michael Arroyo (No. 63) and Jurrangelo Cijntje (No. 90), plus the Mariners’ Round B Comp Balance Pick, to St. Louis for two years of IF/OF Brendan Donovan and five years of RP Riley O’Brien?
Baseball Trade Values assigns each side of that trade a surplus value of exactly $37 million.

O’Brien has a surplus value of $4.5 million and the comp pick a value of $2.5 million, according to Baseball Trade Values.

Yes. That would be a perfect trade for us and they get the near MLB ready starter.harmony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:49 amWould anyone trade two Top 100 prospects in Michael Arroyo (No. 63) and Jurrangelo Cijntje (No. 90), plus the Mariners’ Round B Comp Balance Pick, to St. Louis for IF/OF Brendan Donovan and RP Riley O’Brien?r

Lil Trivia. Riley O Brien's Uncle Eddie was an acquaintance of mine about 15-20 years ago. He was a vendor at Safeco and once did yardwork for me. He used to play pro basketball in Europe.
His Dad Eddie and his Uncle Johnny were MLB players in the 50s.

But I looked him up 17 HR in 50 games last year? He’s probably be somewhere in the top 4 right now to share RF and DH

I would do that deal instantly. Riley is a freaking stud. He would give us a deadly BP. Brendan would give you coverage at all 3 positions of worry:harmony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:49 amWould anyone trade two Top 100 prospects in Michael Arroyo (No. 63) and Jurrangelo Cijntje (No. 90), plus the Mariners’ Round B Comp Balance Pick, to St. Louis for two years of IF/OF Brendan Donovan and five years of RP Riley O’Brien?

RF Raley, Robles, Calzone, Brennan Davis
2B Young, Colt, Bliss, Rivas
3B Same as above
I like the 2 top 100s and a comp pick. That is a big attention getter. I would be willing to add a third top 100 type to get it done.
