It’s possible — and perhaps even likely — that left fielder Randy Arozarena, acquired at the July trade deadline, stands as the most meaningful addition to the Mariners roster this year.

It’s also possible — and perhaps even likely — that the regular lineup Wilson employed late in the season could be the same lineup on opening day 2025, featuring Victor Robles at leadoff, Julio Rodriguez batting second, Cal Raleigh third and Arozarena fourth.

Arozarena had a .733 OPS in Seattle. That's 30 points below what Justin Turner had even.

He's the kind of guy they should probably trade and look to replace, not the guy that's now supposed to be the big move half a season later.

Of course it will. I am really excited to see Randy's .373 SLG% for a full season at T Mobile. This is a guy they lock into a power position MONTHS ago.

I posted on X that we should trade a prospect and Randy back to the Rays for Lowe and some clown said Randy has twice the value of Lowe! I replied with a Trade site image showing Lowe is worth twice as much as Randy.

This makes no sense.

We have 3 starting outfielders that are right handed. Raley plays all three outfield positions.

He can also back up at 1B if he's in the 4th OF role.

But they want to pigeonhole him at 1B, and look for a platoon partner, and probably a weak 4th OF to replace him there...

Just get a full time 1B, it's the cheapest position to fill outside of DH, Raley can still get his 400 plate appearances if they're going to platoon him anyways.

Same thing they did to France, only even worse, because Raley can play multiple positions well.

Seems more like a bad joke.

They're only doing it because he's cheap and fills a hole that would otherwise cost them 15-20 million in free agency, or prospects.

They're taking the "good enough" approach again if they make a move like Turner.

If the trade for Casas doesn't happen they are supposedly close to signing Santana. Then the move Raley back to the OF for the most part and Randy to DH
