The Diamondbacks lost Christian Walker and Joc Pederson (who we should get).

Have to wonder if Ketel Marte could be available with only two years of control remaining.

Can't think of a better fit.

Then sign Sasaki and Santana and move Raley to the OF.

The A's just traded for a good lefty BP to starter guy and a prospect who is also a lefty BP guy. The A's signed a potential #1 in Severino and they are improved, The Rangers are improved, LAA, ditto. The Astros are down Tucker, and Bregman but got Isaac P back for the favor.

The Mariners have done shit. I love the Austin Shenton move if he is targeted as your #1 lefty bench bat an option at 3B, 1B, DH, 2B, OF. (Raley should be starting somewhere)

Burger was got for:
Vargas a 2B SS who will be 20 for the 2025 season who is ranked 16th in the Marlines top 30 on MLB.com
Mendoza a LHP who is #29 on the Marlins top 30 and has some "OK" stats the past 2 years.
The 3rd guy is not in the top 30 guy

That is not a "nothing" package going back for him but we could easily had a guy that is a 93 RBI/162, 39 HR/162 bat who has never been below average for 2 prospects between #15 and 30 in our top 30 is absolutely trash.

This is an OK lotto ticket:

He has not pitched in MLB since 2021 but he had been good before both as a BP guy and as a starter

No effing way are those trade values correct. Two years of Ketel Marte probably isn't worth five years of Woo alone.

Marte just put up 6.8 War Which is valued at about $55M. He is under team control for only $60.8M for FOUR years.

If he averages 4.5 WAR for those seasons that is 18 WAR which is valued at $144M - $60.8M he is owed = $83M surplus value.

Woo just put up 2.4 WAR.

FWIW Baseball Trade Values has bumped Cal Raleigh's surplus value up to $80.6 million (from $40.4 million on December 5 and $19.8 million on October 3):

https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/tra ... al+raleigh

Raleigh has moved past Logan Gilbert ($77.4 million) into third place among Mariners on the BTV surplus value list, trailing only Julio Rodriguez ($303.7 million) and George Kirby ($103.9 million).

Cal Raleigh may be the most untouchable Mariner in trade talks.

Cal it the 3rd round is clearly the best position player pick since ARod.
