Wow. I can't remember a more painful loss. And I went to the opening game in 1977. If momentum is a real thing, it will be profoundly difficult to come back from this one...

That feels like the end of the season there.

I'm not knocking Sewald here. He is what he is, which is a useful tool, but limited. But broadly, I think we're seeing the limitations of this bullpen. It's a great bullpen for the regular season, but lacking the elite arms for the postseason.

That’s only the second time this season in 70 games that we have lost having led after 7. Timing of that is shite.

Munoz sucked. Seawald sucked. What was SS supposed to do there?
Exactly! At what point do people stop pointing the finger at the guy putting players out there that don't perform? They blew several different leads becasue they didn't make pitches. Our "closer" walked some punk that has been in the league for one month and then hung a 1 - 2 slider to allow the best hitter in their lineup to come to the plate.

Players make plays, these guys didn't. End of story. Tip your cap, but good lord, name the guy that should have been called on to pitch? The bullpen flat out choked, to a man. Disappointing to say the least.

The bullpen started to struggle towards the end of the regular season to be fair. The signs were there that it would be exposed at some point.

If this is true, would have been better off walking him and letting Sewald (or anyone) pitch to Bregman.

Munoz does his job in the 8th, we never get to that situation. Seawald does his job in the 9th, we never get to that situation. Both fucked up, so Servais had to go into emergency mode. Ray should have absolutely used his slider more, and not put a fastball in the strike zone that AB. Gilbert lost control and gave up too much with a big lead. Offense did their job, and outside of Castillo and Brash, the pitchers were not good enough.

But WHY do you bring in Ray THERE? its so stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid

Hope Ray and Seworse are happy with themselves breaking a city's heart
Then who? Boyd?

Jesus, the manager put in a lefty who won the fucking Cy Young last year. Sometimes you need players to make fucking plays. Good Lord, Sewall straight blew this. This dude should have never batted.

Name the Pitcher they should have gotten, that could have given up a hit and all the geniuses in here wouldn't have been pissed?

Players need to make plays.
Yeah, honestly, do your job, get the guy out
