Robbie Ray has a 2.38 ERA
Unfortunately, Robbie Ray will always be known for giving up the HR to Alvarez in game 1. A game we were in command all day. Just like last night. At least for me. :-(

Pay a SS mote if you want, this has nothing to with salary. I could not care less about saving some fat fucking billionaire money. Some dude gets stuck into the lineup at SS, and gets a WAR bump? Stupid stat.

Do you think Nelson Cruz deserved to lose 17.5 points a year? Utterly useless stat.
If you don't think SSs and Catchers don't have more value defensively than a DH I don't know what to tell you. Edgar put up 60+ WAR as a DH, about the same as Ichiro and Jim Edmonds who was a great CF so it isn't a huge part of the WAR Calc.

There's an attitude here with multipliers, it usually comes up with Julio in particular. Whenever is war is brought up someone will comment, well yeah, he gets that multiplier, his war is inflated. The reason for it is because he plays a premium defensive position. His war is not inflated by the multiplier, its made more accurate. That's why they use it. To make war more accurate

So you think Edgar deserved a negative 17 in WAR because he was that invaluable those Mariner teams? No fucking chance Julio's CF defense was a +20 or what ever above Edgar because he runs to CF. Bullshit.
