Stupid Servais. Can't believe he'd give a green light to Healy on 3-0 count.
:D

Hitters should have green lights at least 75% of the time on 3-0.

Bad Little League coaches are the only ones that preach take 3-0 always.
You know if he popped out someone would be claiming how stupid Servais is for giving him the greenlight. Sometimes even if it doesn't work out, its still the right call.
I used to catch flak all the time coaching LL. I'd give them the green light on 3-0. So many kids are afraid to take the bat off their shoulders, especially from, say, 7 to 11 or 12 years old. Swing, dammit. At that age there might not be that many strikes to swing at.
Another pet peeve was many coaches (some of my assistant coaches) would always say, "Watch the first one go by." Geezus, if you are set and ready, swing at the strikes. (Incidentally, one coach was doing this to my players behind my back.)
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Batista pitched for Modesto today. Looks like he is getting closer to returning. Will be nice to have another hard throwing righty that isn't very good on the roster.

Hopefully they can help him figure it out, but seems he hasn't been that impressive. Hasn't been below 4.0 ERA since A ball.
Still can't fathom why they haven't brought Market up yet. 0.61 ERA, 29 Ks in 14 innings. 0.75 WHIP  Just dump Swarzak and bring him up!

He probably isn't on the 40 man roster. They don't want to risk losing one of their worthless relievers to put him on there. Maybe they can sneak Crawford through waivers?

Damn third game has been the charm in both of these series. 10-0 and 10-1.

Healy must have heard Seager was coming.

His OPS is barely below Hanigers.

.841 - Haniger
.814 - Santana
.833 - Healy
.777 - Bruce
.733 - Gordon

How much defense and speed is Gordon adding?

If they're serious about contending in the future it won't be with Seager at 3B, imo.
