Interesting...

If they'll move a starting pitcher to reliever for no reason, I suppose moving a catcher to left field makes perfect sense.

Maybe other teams in trade talks wanted to see if he can play anywhere else...

Doesn't hurt to know how to play more than one position

Yep, I just don't see how that bat even plays as a COFer.

Here is a guy I bet nobody has ever heard of. A DR starter with an ERA of 2.96 in Ark. He is already 24 and prior to this season had a completely meh pro career. Actually worse than meh.

But he must have discovered a new pitch or something. Also his control went from bad to good. 20 BBs in 46 innings at Ark last season to 20 in 85 innings this season. K rates are still very unimpressive but he is getting the job done.

That they play him a couple of weeks in left field I don't think locks him into being a left fielder.

Of course not but it is pretty pointless then.

Locklear had a .933 OPS in Ark and we saw what that looked like at the Big league level.

Harry is younger of course but now 21.5 years old so no longer a baby. .253 BA and .757 OPS in AA is a million miles away from everyday Corner OFer in MLB. Good for trade partners to see he can do it though. I like it.

Locklear isn't a ML corner outfielder. I think you get too hung up on the minutia. How about a player like Brett gardener, he began his career as a left fielder. I'd love if Ford developed into a player of his value
