Marte isn’t the shortstop of the future and questions about his arm strength and infield skills lead some scouts to believe he’s a left fielder. At 6-3 and 200-plus pounds, he’s a physical specimen at age 20. Playing for High-A Everett, he’s posted a .267/.359/.457 slash line with 18 doubles, 15 homers, 54 RBI, 42 walks and 81 strikeouts in 384 plate appearances.

We heard the same rubbish from writers about how Lewis, then JRod won't stick in CF too, then they did (until Lewis broke).

I don't care where he plays of he hits .270 with 30 + HR.bpj wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 8:39 pmSounds like something written by a man that wears skinny jeans.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 5:58 pmFirst I have heard of the LF projection.![]()

I would rather trade Noelvi than JK. JK seems to be finding himself at AAA. His whiffs have gone down enormously and he's making contact and hitting breaking pitches and changeups, and we already know he has defensive value as an everyday right fielder. And JK has legitimate power from the left side, which mostly doesn't exist on this team except maybe for Cal. And if you do trade JK, there's no left-handed power in the organization until you get to Edwin Arroyo and Lazaro Montes. Deloach seems close to maxed out at AA.

And don't forget, JK's value is down as well. You wouldn't get as good of a return.GL_Storm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:29 pmI would rather trade Noelvi than JK. JK seems to be finding himself at AAA. Divish's article was saying that all sorts of scouts have been showing up at Rainiers games. JK and maybe O'Keefe are the only reasons for that.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:31 pmAnd don't forget, JK's value is down as well. Here's the thing. JK doesn't have to be a great MLB hitter to have a lot of value. If he can hit .230 in the majors, his power, baserunning, and defensive tools will make him a valuable player year in and year out. That's a much better player than Mitch Haniger, for instance. And if you start to dig in to what he's been doing at Tacoma, that's a decent bet to happen.

My biggest disappointment in the minors this season is that we didn't get a single breakout from any these guys. Nada none zip zero.
Arkansas Travelers Lineup.
Zach DeLoach RF
Kaden Polcovich 2B
Jack Larsen LF
Jake Scheiner 1B
Cade Marlowe CF
Riley Unroe 3B
Matt Scheffler DH
Jake Anchia C
Patrick Frick SS

Deloach seemed like he was heading up, but cooled off. Rizzo is the biggest "breakout" from the Arkansas group.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 12:04 amMy biggest disappointment in the minors this season is that we didn't get a single breakout from any these guys. Nada none zip zero.
