Gilbert dominated the Yankees yesterday in about his 10th big league start. Randy wasn't dominant until about his 3rd season.

I think its impossible for O'Neill and Marco to both be good at the same time, so we better start hoping that O'Neill starts sucking.

Makes you nervous that JRod and Kelenic might not be good until they get a number of years in the show. Yipee.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:14 amWow, Randy wasn't dominant until his 6th season.

Once in a lifetime talent, and we're fortunate to have the opportunity to witness it. He's that good. He's quickly becoming the Beatles of MLB.Petert wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:01 amOh, I agree, and I still hold this against him, for some immature, idiotic reason. If he was a Yankee, John Sterling would be shitting his pants with superlatives every game. But still, you've got to appreciate that this guy is something special, no matter whose uni he's wearing.
I never want the M's to lose, but as a baseball fan, you have to admire that prodigious HR he hit. I can't remember the last time I saw a ball hit up there. Incredible!

It's one game. You can blast me on this, but I think it's too early to drape the mantle of greatness on Gilbert. He shows real promise and he showed exceptional maturity in his approach to facing an agressive offense like the Yankees. His numbers trend really well. He's got balls, he's smart, and he has ability. I'm hopeful, but I want to see more.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:11 amGilbert dominated the Yankees yesterday in about his 10th big league start.
