Actually feel sorry for Greg John's these days, his mailbag was a total cluster but he did answer a Gerrit Cole question.
Jesus Christ. I know there are tens of thousands of idiot fans out there but if that guy lived in a village populated only by idiots he would be the village idiot.
I still think we should have kept Bobby Ayala on as Pitching Coach.

🙃😢😥

Are we still talking about hat brim angle? Or, are we talking about the time Griffey fell asleep in the Mariners clubhouse.
Fair point, they were both little bitches. Throw Ichiro in with them and its a full on game of douche-ville.
As for Griffey, I also recall how he helped get Wakamatsu fired, and ruined clubhouse chemistry, for his having the temerity to bench a grossly over the hill player.

In fact, after he retired he held a press conference, during which he petulantly complained of his treatment, saying he thought he could still play.

As in hitting, what, .180?

Add that to his Insistence he be traded to Cincy only, screwing Royally our negotiating position.

Like a King.

Great talent, but a bitchy malcontent.

The way he went out was No Class.

I’d prefer 15 Pete Rose type guys on my team any day!
15 different gamblers that may or may not have had a bet on your team to win or lose....that would be fun...at least you'd know how to make a quick buck

Huh, I couldn’t care less about Felix’s hat.

That wasn’t me.

As far as pure Full Throttle Competitors go, Rose was Tops.

Only the youngins do that now.

Rose had 12 consecutive years of over 700 PA’s!

Including at frickin 41!

From 1971-80, he missed a measly 15 games!

Over 4,000 hits.

Over 200 hits, 9X!

Nine straight .300 seasons, 15 in all.

One of the Greatest competitors in baseball history.

I doubt many of the Reds from the winning World Series teams of 1975-76 regret his contributions.

Rose may have started his career as a “scrappy competitor” but he clearly let the “Charlie Hustle” image go to his head. I can still picture him breaking back on routine fly balls then rushing in to make a “running catch” about 5 feet from where he started. And I never understood why sprinting to first on a walk or sliding headfirst instead of feet-first like everyone else did anything for his team. As far as getting 700 PA at age 42 or whatever, well, when you are the manager and pencil your washed-up self into the leadoff spot every game, that is bound to happen. For comparison, imagine if the M’s had signed 42 y.o. Ichiro as player-manager and let him bat leadoff every game, (Sorry to put that image in your head, AT :D ) Add in Rose's gambling and rumors of underage "girlfriends", and you have what they call a “complicated legacy” to say the least. So, while I agree that Rose was a great hitter for a lot of years, let’s not make crazy comparisons about "attitude" or "respect" especially based on things like someone’s hat angle, tattoos or haircut choices. Just my opinion...

You'll have to excuse him, he's a little slow.

Half the times he thinks he's taking a jab at me he's reading what somebody else said.
