According to sources, the M's offered Santana more money and a player option for 2026... but he turned them down and instead took the 1-year deal in Cleveland.

WE. ARE. COOKED.

Oh, and Walker Buehler signs with the Red Sox. So you can kiss a Castillo to Boston trade goodbye.

There's more to it than money
"I'm so happy coming back," Santana said. "Cleveland has my respect. The fan base is one of the best. The coaching staff, they know me. Sandy Alomar, I've known him for a long time. I know (top executives) Chris (Antonetti) and Mike Chernoff. I know the owner, (Paul) Dolan. I have very good relationships with everyone in the office, in the organization. They love me, and I love it. I'm very excited."

Well, the A’s continue to get better signing Gio Urshela to a one year deal:

So, the A’s got better, the Angels got better, the Astros got better, and the Rangers got better (they just got Joc Peterson).

Where are we? Weaker than we were in October.

Think some Astros fans would disagree

Refreshing, I respect the guy, his agent will probably dump him.

By the way, any fan who thinks the M’s starters will be as healthy as last year, is kidding himself.

They were among the healthiest in all of baseball.

Some could likely go down.

We are one torn UCL away from disaster. Maybe not total disaster, but you’re right - at least one of our young starters is due up for TJ. I could be wrong, but I think only Woo has had TJ (of our starting rotation).

Everyone else is making moves and we are standing pat. And the window for trading Castillo has about closed.

Ty France, Jorge Polanco and Josh Rojas are available at first base, second base and third base ... perhaps at affordable prices. :D

Seems to me Jude's report of the mariners having $16 mil to spend seems to be holding up so far

Why would they let Josh Rojas go and then sign Gio Urshela?
