What exactly is the concern? He has a .900+ ops. I thought ops was the benchmark. He hits the ball hard. You do have to try and hit home runs, I don't think he's trying and failing. He just had four doubles in a AFL game, if that's his MO so be it. Would you be happy to trade him for a bat?
Yes I would. He has been great in 41 PAs in the AFL but in 139 PAs in Everett he hit .225 with a .648 OPS. As GL mentioned the pitching in the AFL isn't great.
That’s better that Lazaro did his first 139 PA I think.

Edit, Lazaro was .182 witha .536 OPS in his first 116 PA in A+.

Yes I was worried and very relieved when he made the adjustment and finished strong

Maybe one of these days you’ll learn to be more patient with prospects and just give it time :)

I have many virtues but patience obviously isn't one of them. And probably too late to ever acquire it. Lol

Suppose we should have been patient and not traded Noelvi Marte, Edwin Arroyo, Connor Phillips, or Brandon Williamson...

'24 stats:

Marte: -1.8 bWAR in just 66 games. .210/.248/.301/.549 slash. 75 K's, 9 BB's. Technically the worst player over 162 in baseball this year.

Arroyo: Didn't play due to a torn labrum. .668 OPS in the AFL.

Phillips: 8.01 ERA in AAA, 6.97 in the majors, 9.95 in the AFL. Yikes.

Williamson: Pitched 32 pro innings in '24 and is now out for all of '25 with Tommy John.

Emerson pulled after 1 PA in which he doubled. Hopefully not injured again.
