I don't think it's insanity, Montes is one dimensional

This reminds me a lot of all the times we were told that Julio wouldn't stick in CF.

These boobs have no idea what the kid can do defensively yet.

And even if he's just a RF, he has the one dimension that actually puts runs on the board and helps win games.

I saw on some Pod they had Farmello as #2? I don't get the high riser tag with the injury he sustained (ACL). I am pleased that people like him, but I don't support it at this time.

The fuck he is. Have you seen him? He is not slow, or unathletic. They tried pulling the same BS with Julio. He's big, he must be a corner or DH. In 865 ABs he has 9 triples, so he is not slow. He is a 50 runner and a 50 arm but yet those clowns at MLB.com give him a 40 grade for fielding. BS. They did the same lazy ass shit with Julio. Laz is not CF, or a 30-30 guy but he is a guy that is not a liability in a corner.

We have weak 1B and DH.

We haven't been down that road nearly often enough unfortunately.

Not talking about if he's slow or not, if his bat doesn't pan out as expected he isn't going to stick in the majors strictly on his defense. Guys like that are a bigger risk than guys that have multiple tools. He has a bigger ceiling in respect to his possible offense but Ford has a higher floor in terms of his multiple tools. I don't think it's insanity to view them as comparable risks.

I consider both Ford and Laz to be top 5 or 6 guys. But, Laz is not only a power hitter.
He walks at a 12+ % rate
