Seattle right as rain in San Diego!
Bullpen did their job tonight and I would argue is getting better before our eyes.
Some nice offense late also...clutch hit by Dilly.

Okay, Mastrobuoni is 3rd, Moore 2nd, Rivas utility. Now you can replace Mastrobuoni with someone that plays 3rdSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 2:57 amAnd as I've said, you don't need all these utility players on your team.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 2:55 amSure, but then he's not a utility playerDonn Beach wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 2:48 am`
Except you don't have a 2nd or 3rd baseman, Rivas has been playing 2nd, did mastrobuoni come up when they decided Polanco couldn't play 3rd?
There is such a thing as just putting guys at positions and living with it until you can make some trades.

Or... you call up Canzone... have him start against all righties... and have Taveras start against lefties.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 3:35 amOkay, Mastrobuoni is 3rd, Moore 2nd, Rivas utility. You then always start Moore at 3B and Rivas at 2B.
Why would you want a guy with a 50 OPS+ playing 3B for you ever?

Yes, but again, I have a fundamental disagreement that his positional versatility makes up for being one of the worst hitters in baseball.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 3:45 amI didn't say I did but we needed to assign him a position ai thought so you could replace him
His “position” doesn’t matter. Formulate a team where your best players see the field, even if that means you don’t move them around.
They can do it very easily, as I’ve laid out.

This was a huge win for multiple reasons. Hancock was touching 98 today. If he can show that he is a capable starter, and therefore might has his stock on the rise for trade purposes as my

Bullpen with Thornton hurt and not using Bazardo has been so so good. Sadly Thornton has gotta be close but no one to send down for him so he is staying in the minors unless u give him a shot and let Bazardo go!Pharmabro wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 3:58 amThis was a huge win for multiple reasons. Rowdy over the last 30 days, pitchforks have been hung up for the time being.
