Another shutout! And in sweeping fashion!
Also I think the arms are alright now but man 1 run is only going to do it vs the pirates. Hope to see some internal or external moves to get a bat or two.

If we could go 4-2 over the next 6 that would be promising. We’d go to the break at 8-over and be clear buyers.
6-over and we needed that sweep.

Ms have scored the 18th most runs in the game at 402 (only 12 teams with more) and we know about the home environment. I am OK with the offense. That doesn't mean I don't want to see the lineup shuffled (Dom or Polanco should move up, JRod down) and players like JRod and Polanco to turn it on and Harry Ford brought up, but I just don't see a need to give away upper echelon young talent (whomever it may be, I don't pretend to know what team x is going to ask for. They may want Montes, they may want Sloan, they may want Arroyo or Celesten) for little to no upgrade over in-house players.Southpaw773 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 06, 2025 10:50 pmAnother shutout! A 1B like O'Hearn shouldn't cost much. I'd be OK with a theoretical O'Hearn for Walter Ford + Michael Morales + Michael Hobbs/Juan Burgos/Suisbel type of package (Os probably want pitching)
But yeah, I just don't see need for big external moves.

18th?...I have them 13th, tied with the Mets, they have scored more runs than the Astros.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 12:50 amMs have scored the 18th most runs in the game at 402 (only 12 teams with more) and we know about the home environment. Yeah, I fucked that up. They've scored more runs than 18 teams.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 12:59 am

God, i can't even imagine what that's going to do to his head. He already seems to have an inflated opinion of his worth. Now he's really going to be satisfied with putting up low .700s OPS seasons.

The one player you mention liking had a .609 OPS in June. A near 300 point crash from April/May.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 12:50 amMs have scored the 18th most runs in the game at 402 (only 12 teams with more) and we know about the home environment. They have a lefty 1B already.
They absolutely need big moves.
No serious team is rolling with Williamson and Young into a playoff race.
