Many here will be really disturbed if they don’t make the World Series, yet only two teams do so.
Just because they barely missed the World Series last year, doesn’t mean they’ll be in a similar situation this year.
Every year is separate and distinct.
It’s just human nature, once the team gets solid, expectations become necessarily way high.
Then people forget that there are solid teams that don’t make the playoffs.
Things could definitely go differently this season imo.
Especially because they lost Polancos power on top of expected regression from Cal and they only added Brendan Donovan in an era where nearly 50% of runs are scored by homerun.
