Kyle Seager is hitting well enough that his additional year isn't a negative anymore. Question is, would he bring enough back to trade him, or should Mariners keep him around to play 3B. Nobody is knocking on that door anytime soon.

I would like to see us keep him. I don't think teams will be sniffing around for a guy with that albatross of a contract, except maybe the Yankees, and they're already set at the position. If the talent on the team gels to a point where it becomes seriously competitive by 2022, and Noelvi is groomed as the next 3B, Seager would be a great guy to get on a year-over-year contract as a transitional piece, as well as defensive mentor. And if he's still hitting, well, stick him at 2B.

I still think Moore is a prime 2B candidate... I'd almost rather he wins the job over Long. He's a 5-tool guy... I'm not sure Long is even 3-tooled.

Mariners have the option for Seager in 2022, right? Maybe they can give him an extension for 2 years instead of the option.
