Taylor Trammell with another homer. He's 11-for-16 with three home runs since joining the Rainiers.

The guy is a natural born AAAA superstar.

Going back to hitting minor leagues and immediately mashing sure seems like first sign of a AAAA guy to me.

Maybe he can "learn" how to hit MLB pitching someday...

That is EXACTLY what we want from his position.

But he doesn't hit doubles so his OPS doesn't look as good.

Yeah because he thinks he'll beef up in the offseason, hit more homers, and get a bigger contract.
Just stay in your lane JP.

You can't have 9 guys that all just hit singles and walk, but if you have guys like that that play good defense, they can bring value to the team. I'm happy with JP as long as he's hitting around .250+ and around .325+ OBP

Trammell wasn't ready for MLB. I don't know if he will be, but the fact that they gave him a chance earlier than he was probably ready, and struggled, doesn't mean he won't figure it out. Mike Trout had to be sent back to AAA after his first stint in MLB. To be clear, I'm not comparing him to Trout. I'm just saying that not all development is linear, and players are not all on the same trajectory.

Chris Taylor came out of nowhere and wasnt highly touted.

Chris Taylor came out of nowhere and wasnt highly touted.

The only reason that Trammell dropped from a top 10 to a "mostly forgotten" (still ranked top 100 by some) is because he struggled a little when he entered AA in 2019 and dealt with injuries. He never got a chance to prove anyone different in 2020 because there were no minor league games. He wasn't ready for MLB, that is clear. He may not make the jump. He is a talented prospect though, and 5 weeks of struggling while playing in a horrible lineup before he should have been called up doesn't change that.
