Going back to hitting minor leagues and immediately mashing sure seems like first sign of a AAAA guy to me.
Maybe he can "learn" how to hit MLB pitching someday...

You can't have 9 guys that all just hit singles and walk, but if you have guys like that that play good defense, they can bring value to the team. I'm happy with JP as long as he's hitting around .250+ and around .325+ OBPseattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:17 pmYeah because he thinks he'll beef up in the offseason, hit more homers, and get a bigger contract.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:16 pmBut he doesn't hit doubles so his OPS doesn't look as good.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:14 pmJP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is EXACTLY what we want from his position.
Just stay in your lane JP.
We thought the same way of Chris Taylor. Look at him now in L.A.bpj wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:36 pmGoing back to hitting minor leagues and immediately mashing sure seems like first sign of a AAAA guy to me.

Medical definition: Condition suffered by Major League catchers when they can't play baseball.
Symptoms: Wild swings at pitches out of the zone, lack of appetite to frame pitches, unable to block pitches in the dirt.
The only reason that Trammell dropped from a top 10 to a "mostly forgotten" (still ranked top 100 by some) is because he struggled a little when he entered AA in 2019 and dealt with injuries. He never got a chance to prove anyone different in 2020 because there were no minor league games. He wasn't ready for MLB, that is clear. He may not make the jump. He is a talented prospect though, and 5 weeks of struggling while playing in a horrible lineup before he should have been called up doesn't change that.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:42 pm
There's a difference.
Trammell has worked his way out of being a top 10 to now mostly forgotten prospect.
Chris Taylor came out of nowhere and wasnt highly touted.
