Gilbert dominated the Yankees yesterday in about his 10th big league start. Randy wasn't dominant until about his 3rd season.
It's one game. You can blast me on this, but I think it's too early to drape the mantle of greatness on Gilbert. He shows real promise and he showed exceptional maturity in his approach to facing an agressive offense like the Yankees. His numbers trend really well. He's got balls and he has ability. I'm hopeful, but I want to see more.
I said he dominated the Yankees yesterday.
Right. And I said 'it's one game'. Did I miss something ?

Huge misplay by the Angels' LF. You'd think he'd track and make a lunge for that.

Merely inches away for Long. Get a base hit here Moore so it doesn't cost us a run

Well shed, you're out of the shed now.

What does Long have in his cheek?

He's too much of a nerd for tobacco, so I bet it's a big jawbreaker, like an Atomic Fireball.

It was a much needed timely hit, but I really didn't like that he stood at home plate for several seconds admiring it like it was going to be 20 rows back in the seats or something. Shed just seems to be all about appearances. Not a fan.

Yeah I know he didn't pitch two games yesterday. ;)

But now that you mention it, in his last 8 starts he has a 2.57 ERA .564 OPS against, 46Ks and only 8 walks in in 42 innings. That's dominant.
